    Procedure

    Install Home Assistant Core and copy the Tuya Home Assistant Integration to the Home Assistant configuration directory.

    Tuya IOT Platform:

    Tuya Smart hopes to address this problem with an IOT platform that prioritizes smart device development and interoperability.

    Account Creation:    

    Create an account on TUYA IOT. Click on “IOT Platform” on the right corner.


    Cloud Project setup:

    To have access of the cloud you can choose ‘Trial Edition’ mode to which you can have some limited features. To have a vast access of Tuya cloud features you can choose according to your choice in between the various editions of cloud. Select the Trial Mode to use the TUYA Cloud.



    Click on “Cloud” in the column tab on left of the page. Then click on “Create Cloud Project” on the right of the page.


    Create cloud project by filling the form by adding “Smart Home” from the list in ‘Industry’ and ‘Development Method’ sections and enter ‘Data Centre’.

    This will provide you some limited services to use. We have ‘Device Status Notification’ only. To avoid that please have an access according to your choice.

    Now you have created a project on TUYA Cloud with personal ID.


    Configure Devices with TUYA App:

    Install TUYA App from app store on your mobile OS. Follow these steps shown below.




    Connect Cloud with TUYA App:

    Click on the ‘Devices’ tab then click on ‘Link Tuya App Account’ tab and click on ‘Add App Account’ to integrate Tuya App with cloud.





    QR code will generate. Scan this QR code with the Tuya App from mobile.

    Home Assistant Installation:

    Install Home Assistant on WINDOWS OS:

    Install Tuya v2 Home Assistant integration:

    The new version of Tuya Home Assistant integration (Tuya v2) can be compatible with the old version. Both versions can be installed at the same time. You do not need to uninstall the old version.

    Manual Installation of Tuya v2 Integration with Home assistant:

    To manually install the Tuya Integration, follow these steps:

    Go to the Home Assistant Tuya integration's GitHub website and download the code as a Zip file.

    Copy the custom components/ Tuya v2/ folder to your Home Assistant configuration folder after unzipping the files. Restart your Home Assistant if it has not done so already.

    Tuya v2 Integration:

    Click on ‘Configuration’ from the column tab in the left of the page. To integrate Home Assistant with Tuya, click on ‘Integrations’ from the list.


    Here you have to choose ‘Tuya v2’ variant to have a better experience of Tuya IOT.

    Now enter your Tuya credentials, which you enter on the Tuya App on your mobile OS.



    Now you have successfully created the integration of Tuya with Home Assistant.
